On December 29, 1997, WCW Monday Nitro was held at The Baltimore Arena. This was just one day after the Hulk Hogan-Sting match at Starrcade in DC that still lives in infamy.
The results from that night:
Goldberg defeats Glacier.
Chris Benoit defeats Van Hammer by DQ after interference by Raven’s Flock. Steve McMichael runs in to assist his fellow Horseman Benoit.
Eddie Guerrero loses the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship to Ultimo Dragon.
Diamond Dallas Page defeats Mortis to retain the U.S. Heavyweight Championship.
Disco Inferno loses the WCW World Television Championship to Booker T.
Chris Jericho lost to Curt Hennig.
In a rematch from the night before, Buff Bagwell takes on Lex Luger. This time Luger wins.
There’s also a rematch between Hulk Hogan and Sting, but more on that in a minute.
