880 Wrestling, Hybrid Championship Wrestling formalize cross-border partnership
Hybrid Championship Wrestling and 880 Wrestling have entered into a formal talent-sharing agreement, the promotions announced this week, establishing a cross-border partnership between Dunnville, Ontario, and Pittsburgh.
The agreement follows several months of informal talent exchanges between the two independent wrestling promotions. Officials said the deal is intended to create a consistent framework for wrestlers to appear in both markets, expanding booking opportunities and exposing performers to new opponents and audiences.
Under the arrangement, talent from 880 Wrestling will appear on upcoming Hybrid Championship Wrestling events in Ontario, while members of the Hybrid roster will be booked for shows in Pittsburgh.
The promotions will also co-promote a USA vs. Canada event on April 25, 2026, at The Warehouse, 829 Industry St. in Pittsburgh. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Ticket information has not yet been released.
William Porter, director of operations for Hybrid Championship Wrestling, said the agreement reflects shared priorities between the organizations.
“Both companies have proven they’re committed to developing great talent and delivering,” Porter said. “By working together, we’re creating opportunities that go far beyond one ring or one city.”
Additional talent announcements tied to the partnership are expected in the coming weeks, according to the promotions.
