In addition to the death of Terry Funk yesterday, Abe Jacobs also passed away at the age of 95. Jacobs was a native of New Zealand.
He wrestled all over the United States as well as Europe and Japan. The later part of his career was spent working for Jim Crockett Promotions. He was Ric Flair’s first opponent in JCP.

WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk died today at the age of 79. His in-ring career started in the 1960s working at Western States Sports for his father, promoter Dory Funk. His brother wrestled as Dory Funk, Jr. He later wrestled at Championship Wrestling from Florida, including a 14-month reign as NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
