Adam Wendell Lee, 41, of Chestertown, Maryland – known professionally as Adam Ugly – was arrested on August 13, 2025, following an on-view arrest by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Department.
He is charged with one misdemeanor count of second-degree assault and one felony count of first-degree assault, both alleged to have occurred the same day. The charges were filed on August 12, 2025. Under Maryland law, a person convicted of first-degree assault is guilty of a felony and may be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison. A person convicted of second-degree assault under certain circumstances is guilty of a felony and may be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison, fined up to $5,000, or both. Lee was initially held without bond but was released on his own recognizance under pre-trial supervision after a bail review hearing on August 14, 2025, before Judge Frank M. Kratovil Jr. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 11, 2025. Lee is presumed innocent of the current charges unless and until proven guilty in court.
Lee’s professional wrestling career began in 2003, and he last competed in 2022 for Adrenaline Championship Wrestling and Fire Star Pro Wrestling.
In a prior case, stemming from an offense on August 12, 2022, Lee was originally charged with 12 counts of Peeping Tom and Visual Surveillance with Prurient Intent, along with other related charges. He pleaded guilty on April 20, 2023, in Queen Anne’s County District Court to one misdemeanor count of Peeping Tom. Judge Joseph Riley suspended the entire 30-day jail sentence and placed Lee on three years of unsupervised probation. That conviction did not require him to register as a sex offender. A violation of probation hearing in that case is scheduled for October 15, 2025, in Queen Anne’s County District Court.
