American Gladiators Returns With Wrestlers From WWE and AEW
AEW’s Kamille and Wardlow join The Miz in new Prime Video reboot
Amazon Prime Video is developing a new version of American Gladiators, with WWE’s Mike “The Miz” Mizanin confirmed as host and AEW wrestlers Michael Wardlow and Kailey Latimer, known professionally as Kamille, joining the cast as Gladiators.
The series will feature 16 Gladiators, evenly divided between men and women, and include a mix of events from the original show such as “The Eliminator,” “Hang Tough,” and “Gauntlet,” along with new competitions. Gladiators will be given updated personas, though details have not been released.
Other professional wrestlers announced for the cast include former WWE performer Eric Bugenhagen, who competed as Rick Boogs, and Jessie Godderz, known as Mr. PEC-Tacular. Jessica Roden, a former college athlete and independent wrestler, is also listed as part of the Gladiator lineup.
Rocsi Diaz will serve as sideline reporter, while Chris Rose, a veteran of NFL Network and MLB Network, will provide play-by-play commentary.
Filming is underway at the Cergy Aren’Ice arena outside Paris, with a release date for the series expected later this year on Prime Video.
Wardlow and Kamille’s involvement comes after months of absence from AEW programming. Kamille signed with AEW in early 2024 and debuted alongside Mercedes Moné during the Blood & Guts special that summer. After a brief run as Moné’s bodyguard, the alliance ended during a November episode of Dynamite when Kamille walked out of an in-ring segment. While Moné was reportedly interested in continuing the storyline, AEW President Tony Khan is said to have been opposed to the pairing and opted to end the angle. Kamille has not appeared on AEW television since and has focused on outside projects, including her role on American Gladiators.
Wardlow, a former TNT Champion, last wrestled for AEW in early 2025. He had previously been featured in a storyline involving Adam Copeland and was written off television following an injury angle. He has not returned to AEW since.
