Atlantic All-Star Wrestling Cancels 2024 Events
AAW searching for a new venue after a double booking.
Atlantic All-Star Wrestling had been using the American Legion Post 133 on Washington Ave. in Woodbury, NJ, as their venue for events. However, due to a scheduling conflict at this location, the promotion was forced to cancel its "September Showdown 2024" event. Despite securing the venue months in advance, a double booking left the venue unable to host the show. As a result, Atlantic All-Star Wrestling has not only canceled the event but also suspended all future shows at this venue for the rest of the year, with plans to seek a more reliable location for future events.
Here’s a press release from AAW and Dino Biello:
For Immediate Release
Atlantic All-Star Wrestling Announces Cancellation of "September Showdown 2024"
Woodbury, August 20, 2024 – Atlantic All-Star Wrestling regrets to announce the cancellation of our upcoming event, "September Showdown 2024," originally scheduled for September 14th, 2024. This difficult decision was made due to an unexpected venue conflict.
Despite securing the date with the venue as part of our annual planning in January, a scheduling error on their part has resulted in a double booking. Although we have a signed agreement for the use of the venue on September 14th, the venue is unable to honor this commitment.
Unfortunately, rescheduling the event to another date at the same venue is not feasible due to logistical challenges. These include prior commitments from vendors, wrestlers, staff, and volunteers. Additionally, the short notice makes it impossible to secure an alternative venue that meets the requirements for a successful event.
This decision was not made lightly, especially considering that 85% - 87% of the tickets for "September Showdown 2024" had already een sold, and we were on track for another sell-out event. All purchased tickets will be fully refunded, and all vendors, wrestlers, employees, and volunteers have been notified of the cancellation.
As a result of this situation, we have also decided to suspend all remaining events at this venue for the remainder of the year. While our partnership with this venue has been strong in the past, we cannot allow such errors to disrupt our events in the future. We believe it is in the best interest of Atlantic All-Star Wrestling and our loyal fans to begin the search for a more reliable location for future events.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our fans for their unwavering support in Woodbury over the past few years. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you informed about future plans.
Sincerely,
Dino Biello
CEO, Atlantic All-Star Wrestling
