AWA Cancels Saturday Event in Waldorf, MD

Assault Wrestling Alliance (AWA) announced that its Dead Heat event scheduled for Saturday, July 18, in Waldorf, Maryland, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. From what I hear, it might be a while before they’re back in action.

The promotion’s full statement:

“Dear AWA Lunatics,

You know that we never, ever like to be the bearers of bad news. We strive to bring you an escape from reality for a few hours, right in your own backyard. Unfortunately, reality hits us sometimes.

Due to these unforeseen realities, we’ve had to postpone DEAD HEAT.

We know this is terribly late notice, but please know we did our best to make everything work to bring you the best show possible—the kind you deserve.

We don’t know when you can expect the next show date at this time, but AWA will never die, and we will let you know when to expect us! Tickets will be refunded.”
