Baltimore native Rich Swann suspended by TNA; entering rehab
I’ll preface this by saying it’s obvious Rich Swann has a drinking problem, and I hope he’s getting the help he needs. This is not a great time for his family, with his wife Su Yung suffering gruesome injuries in a wrestling match recently as well. Keep the family in your thoughts and prayers, and chip in for the GoFundMe for Su Yung if you can.
Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling was the first to report that Rich Swann was arrested in June for “disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance”.
TNA didn’t know about that arrest until Thurston asked them earlier this week. The company told POST that Swann is suspended and has entered rehab. Swann also was arrested on similar charges in 2023. He was arrested on domestic violence charges in 2017, but reconciled with his wife and they had a son in 2022.
Larry Dallas, a television broadcaster who has worked for Dragon Gate and AAA, posted on X that Swann has been sober for 60 days already.
I hope Swann gets all the help he needs and can return to the ring. He’s a great wrestler in-ring and a great showman as well.
