WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk died today at the age of 79.
His in-ring career started in the 1960s working at Western States Sports for his father, promoter Dory Funk. His brother wrestled as Dory Funk, Jr. He later wrestled at Championship Wrestling from Florida, including a 14-month reign as NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Funk wrestled in Japan, for WWE, at WCW, and enjoyed a career resurgence at ECW. He continued to wrestle on the independent circuit until his final retirement. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, along with his brother in 2009. He inducted Mick Foley into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Funk worked as an actor and was most notably known for his role as Morgan in Road House. He also choreographed the fight scene between Rocky Balboa and Tommy Gunn in Rocky V.
