Chris Jericho could be poised for a WWE comeback, as his absence from AEW television continues to spark speculation.
The veteran wrestler, a founding figure in AEW and its inaugural world champion, has not appeared on AEW or Ring of Honor programming since losing the ROH World Championship to Bandido in a Mask vs. Title match at AEW Dynasty on April 6. His last onscreen moment came on the April 9 episode of Dynamite, where a tense reunion with allies ended with Jericho walking out on air, signifying his departure from television.
Reports suggest his AEW contract runs through the end of 2025, though creative direction for his return remains unclear. In the meantime, Jericho’s social media activity, including liking posts questioning a potential WWE comeback, has only fueled speculation. WWE insiders are reportedly expressing significant interest in luring the veteran back once his contract allows.
Jericho’s band, Fozzy, has been on tour during his hiatus from AEW programming, keeping him visible outside of wrestling.
