Classic Pro Wrestling (CPW), a wrestling promotion based in Virginia, is under new ownership. Ronnie Dayvault Jr., who has been involved with CPW in various capacities, has taken over operations following a transition in leadership.
Dayvault, known for his Mid Atlantic Moneymaker persona, has been a part of CPW’s history and aims to maintain its presence in the regional wrestling scene.
“I’ve seen CPW grow and evolve over the years, and I’m looking forward to this next phase,” Dayvault said. “The Mid-Atlantic wrestling scene has produced many notable talents, and I hope to contribute to CPW’s continued development.”
Regarding the promotion’s future, Dayvault acknowledged its history while recognizing challenges. “The name has been around for a long time, but it’s also been tarnished a bit over time,” he said. “Some of the greatest names in wrestling have graced this ring, including some of my closest friends. We’ll see how this year goes, and then we’ll evaluate what direction to take for 2026 and beyond.”
Despite uncertainty surrounding the brand, Dayvault stated that his primary focus is to bring wrestling events to Richmond and surrounding areas.
“There are already strong promotions in the region, and my intention is to collaborate rather than compete,” he said. “I’m open to working with other promoters to enhance the local wrestling scene.”
Looking ahead, CPW plans to continue showcasing local talent and providing live wrestling events. Further details on upcoming events and partnerships are expected to be announced in the future.
