Thanks to Alex Fuentes, who was in attendance, for help with the results after the technical difficulties with the Fite feed.
Today, Combat Zone Wrestling held Limelight 22 at The State Theater in Havre de Grace, MD.
Here are the results of the matches:
In the first match, Ruthless Lala (with Isaiah Wolf) faced O'Shay Edwards. Edwards won by pinfall after a great hard-hitting match.
In the second match, Kris Bishop faced Zayda Steel and Faboo Andre. Kris Bishop pinned Faboo Andre, with Zayda nowhere to be seen. It appeared to be a 1-on-1 match with a third person lying around for much of the match, much like bigger battle royals in WWE such as the Royal Rumble.
In the third match, Post Game (Miami Mike Walker and Vinny Talotta) faced Athan & Juni Underwood - The Lost Boys. Post Game won after Walker pinned Underwood. It was a good match overall, and the Lost Boys got a good amount of offense.
Rocket faced Richard Adonis and the latter won after an action-packed match.
Milk Chocolate's Succulent Gauntlet Match for #1 Contender for the CZW World Tag Team Championship took place next. CMD (Boom and DeSean) and The Delinquents were the first entrants. The Delinquents were eliminated.
Dick Dynamo & Nicco Grey faced CMD next. It all went downhill when Dynamo hit Nicco with a streamer he pulled from his trunks and Nicco came in and suplexed his partner. CMD eliminated them after that.
The Hype (Myron Malone & Khaz Lee with Cassius Carter) were the next entrants, but CMD eliminated them.
The next entrants were Vendetta (Eran Ashe & Troy Parker with Jazmyne Hao). Boom Harden hit Parker with a chair, then Vendetta was eliminated via DQ. Eran Ashe got upset and brought a door into the ring and put Pratt through it, then put Harden through another door.
The last entrants in the Gauntlet Match were EN Bush and Matt Quay, but after talking about how much they respected CMD and didn’t like what had just happened, they forfeited their spot.
Milk Chocolate came to the ring and said that the gauntlet would not end like that.
Milk Chocolate then entered their own gauntlet, but Slime Ballz ran in and got their belts. Due to this distraction, CMD defeated Milk Chocolate to via count-out win the gauntlet.
There were still several matches left when the event went to intermission at this point. I was not at the show, but I watched it on Fite.
During the intermission, they ran rotating match graphics along with CZW graphics and background noise from the theater. At some point, this stopped and it went to a black screen where it remained well past when intermission would have ended and Fite later said the event had ended. Thanks again to Alex Fuentes for help with the results after that point
Airica Demia beat Mika.
Jordan Oliver won against Brando Lee by submission with a Boston Crab.
Milk Chocolate retained their titles by defeating Slime Ballz.
Rich Swann retained the CZW Heavyweight Championship against Griffin McCoy in the main event after Myles Hawkins interfered in the match by striking the referee.
Here’s my preview of the event:
