Deadman at Living Arts in Philly
Undertaker's One Man Show
An event just up I-95 in Philadelphia caught my eye recently.
It’s presented by WWE and it’s 1 deadMan Show featuring the Undertaker, Mark Calaway. The Deadman’s show will be at the Theatre of Living Arts on October 7. Tickets are available via LiveNation and run from $102-$352. The venue is on South Street, and is across the street from Ishkabible’s, a much lauded cheesesteak shop for people looking to avoid the touristy Pat’s and Geno’s.
The show is an all-ages show at 10 pm (doors open at 8:30) and “will feature "The Phenom" in an intimate setting, sharing never-before-heard stories from his Hall of Fame career and taking questions from the WWE Universe in attendance.”
The show premiered in Nashville during SummerSlam weekend and was also held in Cardiff, Wales before Clash at the Castle.
The event takes places the night before WWE Extreme Rules at the Wells Fargo Center.
As I mentioned in my Baltimore Arena piece, Undertaker was defeated by Kurt Angle for theWorld Heavyweight Championship at No Way Out in 2006 here in Charm City.
The Dead Man also lost in the main event to Brock Lesnar in a Biker Chain match at No Mercy 2003 in what was then called First Mariner Arena. There was interference by the Full-Blooded Italians and by Mr. McMahon.
The Inquirer optimistically speculated that if Undertaker was ever going to return tothe ring it could be at Wrestlemania 40 in April 2024 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly.
