DMV Wrestling News Turns 3 Today — Celebrate With Us
Three years of indie wrestling coverage — thank you.
Today, September 26, DMV Wrestling News is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary — the exact date of our very first post back in 2022. Since then, we’ve been your go-to source for independent wrestling updates in the Mid-Atlantic, the Northeast, and beyond. Our focus has always been on regional promotions, wrestler profiles, and local events, while also providing coverage and insights on major shows from NJPW, AEW, WWE, TNA, and NWA in the region. We also continue to follow Mid-Atlantic and Northeast natives making their mark nationwide.
The roots of this project trace back to 2019, when I discovered NWA Powerrr on YouTube. That single show reignited my passion for pro wrestling and set me on the path back to live events. The first show I went to after that was a Ring of Honor card in early 2020, just before COVID shut everything down. From there I started attending MCW and other independent shows, which ultimately led me to launch DMV Wrestling News in September 2022. Over the past three years, I’ve now attended shows from multiple promotions in six of the seven states we regularly cover — including being credentialed media at both NJPW and NWA events.
Thanks to everyone who supported us, encouraged us, subscribed, read us regularly, and shared us with your friends. That support has made DMV Wrestling News possible and continues to help it grow. In just three years, DMV Wrestling News has grown from nothing to well over 500 subscribers — a milestone I’m especially proud of for such a niche topic on Substack.
As I shared earlier this month, we’re celebrating with two special offers still running through September 30:
Free 30-day trial on paid subscriptions: Start your free trial here.
30% off all merch: Shop the anniversary sale here.
Every item in the store is Support Independent Wrestling merch, so it’s a direct way to rep the message and support this project.
We took a short break from regular previews this week due to other obligations, but we’ll be back with The Ring Post on Monday.
If you enjoy DMV Wrestling News, the best way to help us grow is to tell your friends. Share posts with them, forward emails, and spread the word so more fans can discover local and independent wrestling coverage.
Thank you again for all your support over the past three years. Here’s to year four and beyond.
