A domestic violence protective order has been issued against Adam Wendell Lee, the Chestertown man and independent wrestler known as Adam Ugly, less than a month after his arrest on felony assault charges.
As previously reported by DMV Wrestling News, Lee was arrested on August 13 by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Department and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault in connection with a domestic-related incident. He was initially held without bond before being released under pretrial supervision.
On September 3, the District Court for Queen Anne’As County issued a temporary protective order, and at a final hearing on September 9, the court extended those restrictions for one year. The order, valid until September 9, 2026, bars Lee from contacting or abusing the petitioner, entering the residence, and requires him to surrender firearms.
Lee’s criminal case continues. A preliminary hearing on the assault charges is scheduled for tomorrow, September 11, in Centreville, and he also faces a probation violation hearing next month in relation to his previous conviction on peeping tom charges.
