Former WWE and AEW star Saraya, known to fans as Paige, has publicly addressed an unsettling incident that occurred during a fan signing at Comic Con Revolution on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Ontario Convention Center in California.
During a photo opportunity at the event, a fan attempted to kiss Saraya on the mouth without her consent. Saraya managed to avoid the contact by moving away in time. She later took to social media to express her dismay, stating:
“Crazy I have to say this but. If you come to my signings... please don’t try to kiss me anywhere. Especially ON MY MOUTH. He wasn’t able to because I moved. But Jesus f---ing Christ.”
In a subsequent video message, Saraya emphasized the importance of respecting personal boundaries and announced a change in her interaction policy with fans:
“I am a hugger. I've always been a hugger when it comes to my fans. But going forward, I would love if we just stick to handshakes just to be safer and just to have a little bit of a boundary.”
She further noted that attempting to kiss someone without consent is not only inappropriate but constitutes assault:
“Please don't do that to us, you guys. Please, to any wrestling, not just females, any wrestling, do not try and kiss us. It's not appropriate. It's actually assault.”
The incident has sparked discussions within the wrestling community about the importance of respecting performers' personal space and ensuring safe environments during fan interactions.
