Recently, former WCW star Buff Bagwell expressed alarm over Jannetty's condition, stating, "He is definitely going to be the next one to die, and I truthfully don't know what to do." Bagwell highlighted Jannetty's severe ankle problems and struggles with substance abuse, emphasizing that recovery is a personal choice. He noted, "He does not wanna get clean. He is not gonna get clean."
