A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to help the family of longtime Virginia professional wrestler, promoter, and trainer Ron “The Pharaoh” Cromartie following his death.
The fundraiser was organized by Alexa Stanley to help with funeral expenses and support Cromartie’s family.
Cromartie wrestled throughout the Mid-Atlantic from 2004 to 2007 before moving into training. He later co-founded the Ground Xero Wrestling Training Academy with Richmond-area wrestler David McCloud.
Among the wrestlers who trained at Ground Xero was Swerve Strickland, who went on to become AEW World Champion in 2024.
The fundraiser remembers Cromartie as a husband, wrestler, filmmaker, entrepreneur, chef, food truck owner, and mentor who made an impact on the people around him.
