On March 24, 2025, PROject Codename Wrestling announced the cancellation of its scheduled event on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Hoboken Elks Lodge. The company cited a last-minute venue issue as the cause, stating that the Elks Lodge will no longer honor its agreement to host the event, despite a signed contract and significant promotional efforts already in place.
In a statement released to fans and the community, PROject Codename Wrestling said, “Despite having a written agreement in place, the venue suddenly informed us they will not be honoring our contract due to a ‘scheduling conflict’. This was communicated days after seeing us in person, promoting the event throughout the city of Hoboken, as well as placing marketing materials at the venue itself.”
The company emphasized that the show had been heavily promoted throughout Hoboken and New York City, with thousands of flyers distributed and strong turnout expectations. While expressing disappointment over the cancellation, the promotion also made clear that it will no longer use the Hoboken Elks Lodge for future events.
“Due to this breach and unprofessionalism, PROject Codename Wrestling will no longer be hosting events at the Hoboken Elks Lodge,” the statement read. “However, this is not the end. We will return bigger and better at a new location, with an unforgettable event.”
Fans who purchased tickets will have the option to use them for any future PROject Codename Wrestling event, including a May show that will be announced soon, or they may request a full refund through their original point of purchase.
PROject Codename Wrestling concluded the announcement by thanking fans for their continued support and promising to deliver the best professional wrestling possible in the future.
