Must-Watch Video
A new book set for release on June 24 offers an in-depth look at the New World Order (nWo) wrestling faction and its influence on American culture beyond the ring.
Say Hello to the Bad Guys: How Professional Wrestling’s New World Order Changed America is written by ESPN reporter Marc Raimondi. It chronicles the rise of the nWo following its 1996 debut in WCW, drawing from nearly 100 interviews and extensive research into how the faction reshaped both pro wrestling and pop culture in the late 1990s.
Raimondi explores how the nWo blurred the lines between hero and villain, sparked a fanbase that cheered for the “bad guys,” and helped fuel a national wrestling boom. The book includes exclusive interviews with the designer behind the nWo logo, contributions from former WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt, and insight into backstage dynamics—including the fallout between Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash.
Say Hello to the Bad Guys has been praised by Kirkus Reviews as a gripping cultural history. The book traces the group’s influence beyond wrestling and argues that professional wrestling played a key role in shifting public perceptions of media, fame, and reality.
