Is AllStar Wrestling Federation really Eastern Shore Pro Wrestling 2.0?
Publisher’s note: any on-the-record comments or lawsuit threats should be sent to jeff@dmvwrestlingnews.com.
This weekend, the AllStar Wrestling Federation (AWF) hosted its debut show, Coastal Clash, in Chincoteague, VA.
At the show, there was a triple-threat match involving Tony Dempsey. Dempsey won the match and was then attacked by a masked man who looked familiar. Even the announcers were discussing how his chops looked familiar.
The masked man is almost certainly Dennis Wade (aka Dennis Wade See) who previously owned Eastern Shore Pro Wrestling, before exiting in a dark cloud I covered extensively here at DMV Wrestling News.
Before I go into the backstory, let’s look at more details of the current events. Here’s a video of what happened Saturday night:
Dempsey wrestled for Eastern Shore Pro Wrestling (ESPW) in the past and is the brother of former ESPW owner Dennis Wade See (ring name - Dennis Wade), who the masked man pretty obviously is. The promoter/owner of the company, J.R. Keeney, worked for ESPW doing security. Billy Bailey, the general manager of AWF, was involved in booking and other duties for ESPW.
Even a commenter on a public Billy Bailey’s Facebook wall called out the masked man as the Glasgow Dragon, an alias for Dennis Wade See:
Another comment on Facebook made by one of the AWF commentary crew implied it as well.
The LLC for AllStar Wrestling Federation is registered through a service in Virginia Beach to mask ownership after I exposed a previous comeback attempt by Dennis Wade See. However, the principal office of the LLC is listed at an address on Virginia’s Eastern Shore where Billy Bailey lives.
When AWF team members sold sponsorships for Saturday night’s show, they assured sponsors that Dennis wouldn’t be involved. But sponsors were later shocked when Dennis stopped by, asking for a "donation" for his “final match” at the show. This seems to be another lie, as his run-in appears to be setting up a feud with his brother.
Now, onto the backstory: I’ve made all these archived posts available for free after removing the paywall.
In July 2023, I reported on Dennis starting Shore Pro Wrestling Alliance LLC, with his name and home address on the filings.
After my reporting above I received a statement that said he would no longer discuss what happened and that, as of July 2023:
It is now time to move on and start over with a new endeavor, where I intend, with better guidance, to build a successful sports entertainment venture on a foundation of integrity, hard work and community. Our new partners understand our mission and we look forward to bringing wrestling to the entire Delmarva region in the future.
I also reported in July 2023 that Dennis Wade had said he was done with pro wrestling when he sold ESPW to 1CW Pro Wrestling. I noted that one of the co-owners of 1CW said that he felt like they got “scammed” by Wade.
Dustin Tarr, a native of Chincoteague, had some strong words for Dennis Wade last summer - read the whole thing at the link below:
He is a stain on the business, even as a little known barely blip on the radar. His bad business killed a town. But he will continue to try and start new companies because he is starved for attention and desperately dreams of being “famous in a small town”.
And starting his own companies will be the only way that he is ever guaranteed a spot and booked on top.. with Dennis himself as the owner and booker.
Last summer I also interviewed Billy Bailey on my podcast. Here’s a summary of what he said then:
He discusses Dennis Wade See and his mismanagement of the company, including spending issues and interference in booking. He also discusses the events that happened after See was exposed for body-shaming a woman announcer he had hired and also making comments that were seen as racial. Billy also talks about the sale of ESPW to 1CW and concurs with their opinion now that they were scammed by Dennis, now that he is going back on his word and starting a new company.
Here’s the original coverage of all of Dennis Wade See’s body-shaming comments about Savannah Rae that started things down this twisted path they are still on.
