J.S. Hawthorne Makes Japanese Debut

J.S. Hawthorne made his Japanese debut on Sunday, June 28, for Pro Wrestling BUKOTSU at Osaka Okinawa Kaikan in Osaka, Japan.
Hawthorne was advertised for a six-man tag team match, teaming with Takumi Fujimura and Takashi Yoshida against Shigehiro Irie, Jack Kennedy, and Bukotsu Taro. The match was part of BUKOTSU’s June event, which began at 1 p.m. local time.
Hawthorne, known as “The Thespian,” began his in-ring career in 2020 after training under Billy Walker and Supreme Lee Great, according to Cagematch. His résumé includes a reign as Three Legacies Wrestling Heavyweight Champion from March 30 to Dec. 28, 2024, a 273-day run.
The appearance marked Hawthorne’s first match in Japan and placed him on a card that also included several international and Japanese independent wrestling names. Hawthorne was also shown on promotional material for the event under the Japanese rendering “J.S. ホーソン.”
BUKOTSU’s June 28 event was held at Osaka Okinawa Kaikan, a venue used by independent wrestling promotions in Osaka.
