This past week, Lex Luger was named an inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2025. Other names added already include Triple H and Michelle McCool.
Lex Luger, born Lawrence Wendell Pfohl on June 2, 1958, is a retired professional wrestler, football player, and bodybuilder best known for his time in WCW, WWE, and the NWA. Luger gained fame in the late 1980s and 1990s for his impressive physique, signature Torture Rack finishing move, and multiple championship reigns.
He was a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, a five-time NWA/WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, and a key figure in major wrestling storylines, including his run as "The Total Package" in WCW and his "Lex Express" campaign in WWE. Luger was also a member of the Four Horsemen and later part of the nWo Wolfpac.
After retiring, Luger faced health challenges, including a spinal cord injury in 2007 that left him with limited mobility. Despite this, he remains involved in wrestling through public appearances and motivational speaking, sharing his personal journey of faith and redemption. In recent years, he has worked with Diamond Dallas Page, whose guidance and support have helped him improve his health and quality of life.
