MCW Breakthrough Results
I really had a great time attending MCW Breakthrough last night with my daughter. Due to an issue that came up Saturday, we were late getting there - so my results are not 100% complete.
Many of you may have noticed that @MCWWrestling does not seem to exist anymore on Twitter. A source close to MCW tells me that it happened sometime last week and that appeals have already been made. It was not a content issue.
Also, a quick note for readers who may be in or near Harford County, MD - be sure to check out Totally Baked by Tay for all of your dessert needs. They sell cupcakes at MCW shows in Joppa and my daughter is a frequent customer of theirs. They have gone out of their way to be nice to her and even brought a special package of her favorites that we brought home last night.
Now, on to the match results:
In the steel cage match that ended the evening, Kekoa defeated King McBride. Members of the Jacobs family kept trying to interfere and finally Clay Jacobs came out for a confrontation with Kekoa after the match. It looks like maybe things are moving on finally from the Kekoa-McBride feud to one between Kekoa and Jacobs.
In the match for the MCW Heavyweight Championship, Miami Mike Walker and defending champion Action Andretti put on a hell of a show. From the beginning, there were acrobatics involving both wrestlers, and even Hellfire McGuire tried to get in on the act with an attempted ambush off the top rope at the beginning. After several near pinfalls in both directions and several attempts at interference by McGuire that went awry, Action Andretti finally got the win to remain champion. After the match, yet again, Brian “The Mecca” Johnson came to the ring and chaos ensued. There were pull-aparts and more members of MCW headed to the ring to separate the two. Andretti went airborne over the top rope and laid out all the security staff along with Johnson. I really thought Mecca’s wardrobe was rather boring after the dress he wore last month for a sneak attack from the crowd on Andretti. Maybe he can hit some of the sales after Christmas for some shopping and do something about that before Season’s Beatings on December 29.
The Trade successfully defended their MCW Tag Team Championship titles against Alex Alvarado and Angel Devine.
AEW star Dante Martin defeated Ninja Mack.
2nd-generation MCW wrestler Ryan Zukko made his debut and defeated Tommy Vecs.
Team Spriggs and Simone Valentina defeated The Thrash Society and Adena Steele.
Alec Odin defeated Adonis Cole of Team Spriggs.
MCW will host Season’s Beatings on December 30 to close out 2022.
