Missy Sampson will be inducted into the Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2025, becoming the first person honored as Promoter of the Year. The award, introduced this year, recognizes her contributions to the growth and support of women’s wrestling beyond her in-ring career.
Sampson began wrestling in the mid-1990s and competed for promotions including WXW, JAPW, WSU and multiple NWA affiliates. Known for a hard-hitting style and consistent presence on the independent circuit, she held several championships during her career, including the WXW Women’s title.
Following her retirement from active competition, Sampson became a trainer at the Monster Factory in New Jersey, where she has helped develop new talent. In 2024, she launched Belle 2 Bell Women’s Wrestling, an all-women’s promotion aimed at creating more opportunities for female performers.
Her induction as Promoter of the Year highlights her efforts to provide safer spaces, build infrastructure, and mentor talent across the independent scene.
The Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled for later this year. Additional inductees are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
