MLW Moves 2300 Arena Show to Atlanta, Explores Legal Action
Major League Wrestling will no longer hold its Oct. 3 event in Philadelphia, with the promotion moving the show to Atlanta following a dispute with the 2300 Arena.
MLW announced Tuesday that the venue had breached its agreement with the promotion. The company said it looked at other options in the Philadelphia area but could not find a suitable replacement with less than two months before the event.
Fightful Select reported that the dispute involves issues with payouts from the 2300 Arena and that MLW is exploring possible legal action. The report also looked at how ticket sales and payouts are handled at the venue and said other wrestling promotions have experienced similar problems. Fightful’s publicly available report did not name those promotions or provide further financial details.
The situation comes less than two months after DMV Wrestling News covered MLW’s June 12 event at the 2300 Arena as credentialed media. That show also included tapings for future episodes of MLW Fusion.

MLW apologized to its Philadelphia fans and said it intends to return to the city at another venue. The promotion did not announce when that return might happen.
The Oct. 3 show will now take place at Center Stage in Atlanta as an MLW Fusion television taping. Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m., with prices starting at $10.
MLW World Heavyweight Champion Killer Kross, Místico, Matt Riddle, The Good Brothers, Donovan Dijak, MLW National Champion Austin Aries, Shotzi, Trevor Lee and Lady Frost are among the wrestlers advertised. CONTRA Unit, ZAMAYA, LaBron Kozone, Andrew Everett, Jesus Rodriguez and JUMBO are also scheduled to appear.
