Midget Mayhem Wrestling is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Halftime Sports and Music Venue in Newark, Delaware.
As of this writing, the event does not appear in the public database of approved wrestling events maintained by the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation (DPR), which is responsible for overseeing professional wrestling in the state.
Under Delaware law, wrestling events must be sanctioned by the DPR before they can be promoted or held. This includes submitting required documentation, working with a licensed promoter, and complying with health and safety regulations. While some in the industry have questioned whether such oversight is still necessary, the current rules remain in place and apply to all promotions, regardless of whether they are based in Delaware or out of state.
Concerns have also been raised about consistent enforcement of these regulations. Observers note that Delaware-based companies have previously faced scrutiny for compliance issues (most notably Delmarva Wrestling Digest), and argue that all promotions should be held to the same standard to ensure safety, legitimacy, and a level playing field.
Rony Baltazar, a spokesman for the Delaware Department of State — which oversees the DPR — confirmed that the event would require a permit. “This event does require a permit from our office, and we will reach out to them to ensure they are aware of the requirements,” he said.
Requests for comment have also been sent to Absolute Entertainment, the promoter of Midget Mayhem Wrestling, and to Halftime Sports and Music Venue. As of this writing, neither has responded.
