Paul Orndorff III, son of late professional wrestling icon Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff, was arrested May 29 in Peachtree City, Georgia, following a high-speed police chase, authorities said.
According to the Peachtree City Police Department, officers attempted to stop Orndorff, 51, who was wanted on multiple charges and believed to be armed with stolen firearms. Orndorff allegedly fled, reaching speeds over 100 mph through a shopping center parking lot. The pursuit ended when officers boxed in his vehicle. After Orndorff reportedly refused to exit the car and reached under his seat, a police K-9 was deployed, leading to his apprehension.
Orndorff faces several felony charges, including fleeing law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The arrest echoes a 2019 incident in which Orndorff led police on a similar high-speed chase in Peachtree City, also ending with the use of a K-9. He served prison time after that case.
His father, Paul Orndorff Jr., was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and was widely known by his ring name "Mr. Wonderful." He died in 2021 at the age of 71.
