Preview of Tonight's AEW Dynamite in Fairfax
If you’re heading to Fairfax, VA tonight for the show or watching on TV or streaming, here’s a preview of what’s ahead on AEW Dynamite at EagleBank Arena.
The tag division takes center stage with Cage & Cope, the pairing of Christian Cage and Cope, set to face RPG Vice, made up of Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta. RPG Vice’s connection with FTR has shifted the dynamic, especially after Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler issued an “I Quit” challenge for Double or Nothing. This match sits directly in that build, with the result likely shaping how that confrontation develops.
The AEW International Championship will be on the line as Kazuchika Okada defends against Ace Austin. Okada has controlled the title picture through pace and precision, while Austin brings a quicker, more opportunistic approach that could force openings if the match turns.
Two more championships anchor the card. Kevin Knight defends the TNT Championship against MJF, while Darby Allin puts the AEW World Championship on the line against Brody King. Both matchups lean on contrast, with style and tempo likely determining the outcome.
In the women’s division, Divine Dominion, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, defend the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship against Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander, a matchup that pits the champions’ physical control against the challengers’ experience and cohesion.
Also scheduled, Rush will appear, and The Brawling Birds, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, are set to compete.
