Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson Announce Rock N’ Roll Express Invitational

PRODUCE Wrestling is a new independent wrestling and live entertainment company from Orange Crush and founder/creative director Adam Abdalla, built around a talent-first, curator-driven format where wrestlers help shape the events as co-producers. Its debut event, The Octopus - Produce: Volume 1, was held Monday, June 29, 2026, at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, New York, with Jonathan Gresham serving as co-producer. The show streamed on MyAEW and presented itself as more than a standard wrestling card, blending independent wrestling with a broader live-event atmosphere that also included an Abel Ferrara performance.

During the event, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson announced they will produce the Rock N’ Roll Express Invitational Tournament. Morton and Gibson, best known together as The Rock ’n’ Roll Express, are WWE Hall of Famers and one of the defining tag teams of the 1980s, with their fast-paced babyface style, long-running rivalry with The Midnight Express, and multiple NWA World Tag Team Championship reigns helping shape the modern tag team formula. Morton has also remained active on the independent circuit in recent years, including wrestling alongside his son Kerry Morton.
