Ron Simmons at VCW Tidings of Destruction Tonight
Tonight, Virginia Championship Wrestling presents their annual Tidings of Destruction event at 7001 Granby Street (the Norfolk Masonic Temple) in Norfolk. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and bell time is 7:30 p.m.
Ron Simmons, mostly known to younger fans for his “Damn!” reactions on WWE, is special guest for a meet and greet. In 1992, he defeated Big Van Vader for the WCW World Championship at the Baltimore Arena. Simmons was the first African-American to hold a world championship belt in a major promotion.
