Love Park, officially known as John F. Kennedy Plaza, is a renowned public park located in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The park overlooks the Philadelphia City Hall and serves as a visual terminus for the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It’s affectionately named after the iconic LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana, which is a prominent feature of the park. Despite municipal bans and renovations designed to limit the activity, LOVE Park became one of the most famous and recognizable skateboarding spots in the world in the 1990s and 2000s. The park, first opened in 1965, covers an underground parking garage and has undergone major reconstruction to convert the largely hardscaped plaza into a greener space.
