Social Slams #3: How VetTix Helps Promoters
Independent wrestling shows always benefit from strong attendance. One way promotions are filling seats while supporting the community is through Vet Tix, a nonprofit that provides free tickets to military veterans, active service members, and their families. Its sister program, 1st Tix, does the same for first responders.
Promotions like MCW Pro Wrestling, DCW, 3 Legacies Wrestling, Adrenaline Championship Wrestling, and AXW regularly donate tickets through Vet Tix. Many other companies around the region and the country also participate.
The process is straightforward: promoters decide how many tickets to offer, and Vet Tix handles recipient verification, ticket distribution, and promotion. There is no cost to the promoter, and the tickets can be delivered digitally or via will call.
When I once thanked MCW co-owner Dan McDevitt and told him I am a veteran who uses Vet Tix, he responded that MCW plans to continue offering tickets to those who serve.
Attendees who receive tickets often bring guests, support merchandise sales, and become repeat fans. For promotions, it is a simple way to show appreciation and reach new audiences.
