Special podcast: Remembering Jay Briscoe
This week, tragedy struck the wrestling community when Jamin Pugh, aka Jay Briscoe, was killed in an accident in his hometown of Laurel, Delaware. Jay and his brother Mark have been known for their time in Ring of Honor where they have held the tag team championship belts, but the family is also well known throughout Delaware for all they have done for the community.
So many great things have been said about Jay Briscoe via Twitter and Facebook this week. However, after visiting Delaware last weekend for a 1CW show, I wanted to talk to members of the Delaware wrestling community to have them talk to us about the kind of man Jay Briscoe is - about his career, his community involvement, his faith, his love for his family, and how he treated everyone who got into a wrestling ring the same - whether it was a green teenager back in the day like Ty Awesome or Tiberius Asante or someone internationally known.
This special episode of the podcast features Ty Awesome, Tiberius Asante, and Shawn Hardy talking about the Jay Briscoe that they knew and loved and who loved them back.
Please listen to the podcast below and continue to keep the Pugh family and their friends in your prayers, especially as Jamin and Ashley’s daughters, Jayleigh and Gracie, continue their fight in the hospital. Thank you.
