Superstar Billy Graham on Life Support
WWE legend is "dealing with a myriad of very serious health issues."
There were numerous reports about WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham’s health Monday, including one from People. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
According to his wife, Valerie, he is in “serious” condition and the doctors wanted to remove him from life support but she refused, saying he’s a “fighter”.
She notes that he already went into cardiac arrest and “coded” once and that he has been in the ICU.
Graham, who is 79, has health issues including diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection in his skull & ears, and other issues related to depression and being bedridden. He and his wife both came down with COVID in the past few months and she is dealing with long COVID now.
Graham has lost 45 pounds in 3 weeks, according to his wife. His recovery would probably take two months in a skilled nursing facility after he was stabilized and released from the hospital. His wife is working full time but the family’s financial situation is becoming “dire” with more costs looming that would not be covered by insurance.
A GoFundMe has been established to help with the medical expenses. Please chip in whatever you can afford. Please remember to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers!
Some of you may remember that in 1977 at the Baltimore Civic Center, Superstar Billy Graham defeated Bruno Sammartino to become WWWF Champion. The video of that match is below.
