Wrestlers to Watch is a new recurring feature here at DMV Wrestling News that highlights independent pro wrestlers from the Mid-Atlantic region at various stages of their careers. We look at key factors like championship reigns, in-ring skills, character work, and activity across multiple promotions to showcase talent making an impact in the region.
These profiles offer a glimpse into wrestlers with different experience levels and achievements. Later this year, we’ll also be releasing the Mid-Atlantic 100 Power Ranking exclusively for paid subscribers.
To get started, here’s a closer look at three wrestlers to watch: Myles Hawkins, Jarett Diaz, and Eli Isom.
Myles Hawkins
Myles Hawkins is a wrestler from Baltimore who has been active since 2021. He trained at the MCW Pro Wrestling School and is known as “99 Overall.” He is 6’1” and weighs 216 lbs. Hawkins is good in the ring and connects well with fans, whether he’s playing a good guy or a bad guy. He did a solid job with a slow-building storyline in MCW that led to him leaving a heel faction - The Trade.
In 2025, he has wrestled for several promotions including MCW Pro Wrestling, Combat Zone Wrestling, Battle Club Pro, All Elite Wrestling, Dragonslayer Pro Wrestling, American Xcellence Wrestling, and 3 Legacies Wrestling. He has also wrestled in Europe. Recently, he got attention when an email he wrote was read on Jim Cornette’s podcast in response to comments about an AEW match he was in.
He has held the MCW Rage Television Championship twice (totaling 378 days), was DCW Heavyweight Champion for 119 days, and was MCW Tag Team Champion for 107 days with Killian McMurphy as part of The Trade.
He was ranked #377 in the 2023 Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) 500.

Jarett Diaz
Jarett Diaz is a wrestler from New York City who has been active since 2018. Known as “Bodega Boy,” “The Closer,” and “Face of the Franchise,” he is the current Federated Wrestling Alliance (FWA) Champion, holding the title since early June 2025. Diaz has heat with the fans and knows how to work the crowd to get even more.
He previously held the PAPW United States Championship for 288 days from mid-2022 to April 2023.
He has teamed with Matt Awesome as part of the Uptown Boyz and has been a member of the stable Rapture, alongside Jay Sky, Richard King (aka Richard Adonis), and Lexi Gomez.
In 2025, Diaz has been active in Federated Wrestling Alliance, House of Glory, World Wrestling Network, Warriors Of Wrestling, Coastal Championship Wrestling, and other promotions. Over the years, he has worked across a wide range of independent promotions in the U.S. and internationally.
He was ranked #394 in the 2023 Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) 500.

Eli Isom
"Infinite" Eli Isom is a wrestler from New Jersey who has been active since 2014. He has built a strong connection with fans at Federated Wrestling Alliance (FWA), where they often chant “New Guy Eli” and sing along with the Creed song “My Sacrifice” that he uses as his entrance music. Whether playing a face or heel, he knows how to work the crowd to get a reaction.
Isom is a graduate of the ROH Dojo and wrestled for Ring of Honor between 2017 and 2022. He also made appearances for New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling during that time.
In 2025, Isom has competed in Federated Wrestling Alliance, Worldwide Wrestling Dojo, WrestlePro, Labor Of Love, 1CW Pro Wrestling, and FIGHTT Pro. Over the years, he has also worked extensively for Black Label Pro and many other promotions, demonstrating a strong and diverse presence in both regional and international wrestling scenes.
He has been a member of the stable Shinobi Shadow Squad with Cheeseburger and Ryan Nova.
He was ranked #463 in the 2021 Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) 500.
