Towson Torch Calls FWA’s Recher Show a Standout Night
The Federated Wrestling Alliance (FWA) brought its Mainstage event to the Recher Theatre on April 24, drawing a packed house and a strong local response, according to coverage from The Towson Torch. As an aside, I was there and it was packed, and a great crowd.
In a report by Christopher Forhan, the show was positioned as a standout night for Towson fans and a step forward for the promotion. “For Towson fans, it delivered a rare chance to experience a full-scale wrestling showcase in their own backyard,” Forhan wrote. “For FWA, April 24, 2026 may be remembered as the night the company proved it was ready for a bigger spotlight.”
The card featured a mix of regional and nationally known talent. FWA Champion Jarett Diaz defended the title against Cheeseburger, whose run in Ring of Honor helped draw interest beyond the local scene. Brian Johnson, recently seen on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling programming, faced Eli Isom, while Mimi made her FWA debut against Gia Scott.
The article also pointed to the setting as a key part of the night. Running at the Recher placed the show in one of Towson’s better-known venues and helped bring in a broader crowd. A guest appearance by Kelly Bell added a local element that connected with the audience.
The Towson Torch framed the night as a sign that FWA can draw and deliver in a venue like the Recher, with the turnout and reaction backing that up.
