USW & ATCW Heavyweight Champ Hospitalized
Brian Hardy, the reigning Heavyweight Champion in both ATCW and USW, was hospitalized this morning in Baltimore, Maryland, due to kidney complications. The 33-year-old wrestler, known as The Second Generation Sensation, was found on the floor of his home bathroom, prompting his wife to call 911.
According to sources lose to the situation, initial concerns centered around the possibility of a heart attack, but EKG results have come back normal. Further updates on Hardy's kidney condition are expected once additional information becomes available.
Brian Hardy, who made history as the first second-generation star inducted into the MWF Hall of Fame in July 2023, is scheduled for two upcoming championship defenses. The first, against Ish Martinez in ATCW, is set for February 17 in Kearneysville, WV, followed by a USW title defense against Robbie Wayne on March 9 in Ellamore, WV. Notably, Hardy is the son of wrestling legend Barry Hardy, who made a mark in WWF, WCW, and ECW.
