VCW Event in Norfolk Saturday
October 1, 2022
Virginia Championship Wrestling (VCW) will be in action tomorrow night at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Hampton Roads at 1401 Ballentine Blvd. in Norfolk. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and bell time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online.
As pictured above, Logan Easton Laroux will be defending the VCW Championship against Ken Dixon. Laroux got a shot at the belt by winning the Liberty Lottery earlier this summer and cashed it in against Dixon right after Dixon had finished a match.
Another featured match is EC3 vs. Gangrel. This match is no disqualification and no count-out and is part of a long, ongoing feud between the VCW Commissioner and the Director of Operations. If EC3 loses, VCW Director of Operations Jerry Stephanitsas will shave his head in the center of the ring.
The rest of the card includes the following matches:
A 4 vs. 4 “Ghouls and Goblins” elimination match that will pit Team Papadon (“Greek God” Papadaon, Brandon Scott, Devantes, & Drolix) against Team Dirty Money (Dirty Money, Phil Brown, Boar, & Alex Devine).
In a match for the VCW Tag Team Championship, The Golden Pinky Society (Benjamin Banks & “Diamond” Victor Griff) will defend against Kingsglaive (Travis Huckabee & “Handsome” Max Zero). Huckabee and Griff were a tag team in the past and there are probably leftover tensions from the abrupt ending of their team.
In women’s wrestling action, Erica Leigh will face Zayda Steel.
Breaux Keller and Gino Medina will also square off.
Brazilian Ju-Jitsiu champion Tim “Mushmaster” Spriggs wil likely have his large entourage with him around the ring when he faces Killian McMurphy.
More on the event can be found in an article at The Flagship, a military newspaper in the Norfolk area.
