Prince George’s County, Maryland, native and TNA X-Division Champion Moose made a surprise appearance on the February 18 episode of WWE NXT, confronting NXT Champion Oba Femi. The former NFL player-turned-wrestler stood face-to-face with Femi in a tense segment, teasing a potential future match between the two champions.
Later in the show, Moose encountered NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King backstage. The two exchanged words before agreeing to a match for the TNA X-Division Championship, which will take place on the February 25 episode of NXT.
Following his appearance, Moose addressed fans on social media.
“To those who supported and keep supporting… thank you. To those who hated and keep hating… thank you too. I need both parties equally as much to keep the train rolling. Just getting started,” he wrote.
Born Quinn Ojinnaka in Seabrook, Maryland, Moose played in the NFL for teams including the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots before transitioning to professional wrestling in 2012. He has since become a top star in TNA, winning multiple championships during his tenure.
Moose’s crossover appearance on NXT has generated significant buzz, further strengthening the ongoing relationship between WWE and TNA.
