The wrestler pictured above is Adam Ugly (birth name: Adam Wendell Lee).
Last fall, the daughter of a woman he dated made this post on Facebook about him:
The victim’s mother, who dated Lee, made this Facebook post about him:
On January 31, 2023, a summons was issued and Adam Wendell Lee of Chestertown, MD was charged with 12 misdemeanor counts alleging he mmitted criminal offenses related to being a Peeping Tom and surveillance of someone in a private place with prurient interest on more than one occasion over a 12-day period in August 2022. Just a reminder, Lee is innocent until proven guilty in court.
If found guilty, Lee would be required to register as a Sex Offender. Normally for one guilty count that would mean being Tier I and being on the registry for 15 years, but if he were found guilty of more than one count then he would be considered a Tier II offender and must remain on the registry for 25 years. He could also face years in prison.
He has lawyered up with a high-powered attorney in Christine Dufour, who heads the Eastern Shore office for Jezic & Moyse. At present, a trial is scheduled for April 20, 2023 at 8:45 a.m. at the Queen Anne’s County Courthouse. I welcome a statement from Ms. Dufour - it can be sent to dmvprowrestling@gmail.com and I will publish her full statement without any edits.
In 2022, Adam Ugly wrestled eight matches with Adrenaline Championship Wrestling and one with Fire Star Pro Wrestling. He has wrestled consistently with ACW recently as well as 302 Wrestling and other companies in the past.
Adam Ugly was also a tag team partner with “Pretty” Jimmy Morris (a.k.a. James Ellsworth) in a team called Pretty Ugly. They have been tag team champions at 302 Pro Wrestling, ACW, 1CW, Covey Promotions, and Power Pro Wrestling.
Ellsworth has a more illustrious career, at least in the number of companies he has wrestled for, thanks to his brief time in the WWE. Lately, he has been hitting indy shows and meet & greets, usually with Gillberg, who he and Adam Ugly also have partnered with in the past.
Ellsworth was accused of sending nude pictures of himself to a 16-year old girl, an accusation he denied. No charges were ever filed but as Ringside News reported at the time, when they discussed other reports and allegations of him sending nude pictures of himself to other females, including a 17-year old:
He has been kicked off his podcast, removed from a popular YouTube series, and been denied entry into a booking he was meant to work in Raleigh, North Carolina last night. He has also gone private on some of his social media and has deactivated his Facebook account.
While there were no charges filed and the accuser’s Twitter account disappeared, there was never anything authoritative from any law enforcement agency about charges not being filed that I saw - just a lot of unfounded or uninformed comments in either direction. My guess was there was insufficient evidence for any charges to be filed.
Closer to the DMV, I’ve heard from sources who were close to the locker room at MCW when Ellsworth was wrestling and appearing there. These reports indicated that Ellsworth really angered some of his co-workers by his behavior towards their wives and girlfriends, including online contact. I was told by one source that he also made women wrestlers feel very uncomfortable and there was some behavior that some felt was “stalkerish”.
The details above about Ellsworth have nothing to do with whether Adam Lee is guilty as charged. However, they show that Pretty Ugly may have been an accurate name for their tag team.
Can we talk? I have info on him too and I know about this. He did stuff to me too
Try going to police for sexual violence and understand why it’s not productive because they treat YOU like the criminal and make you relive everything and then give the person either a few months in jail or probation. Just like this. Doesn’t really fit the crime!
