Wrestler alleges locker room harassment; bullied online about it afterward
Becca Wiley, an 18-year-old wrestler from New Jersey, made a post on X on Friday, August 16, about something that happened that day
Wiley was on the card for a show in Avenel, New Jersey that night in a match with Vicious Vicki at Aw Schucks, which was a fundraiser for the Schuck Family.
Geek Time Entertainment, SWF Pro Wrestling, and Wrestling N Wrecovery presented this show. I wrote a preview of this show for my Friday email, but I didn’t have the card details at the time I wrote it:
Shane Fair made the following responses:
After looking into this matter more, and talking with a source close to Wrestling N Wrecovery, I’ve discovered that they have “parted ways” with this individual. Hopefully, he gets the help he needs, but it’s also important women are kept safe in the locker room.
This story should be ending here. However, because of people attacking and bullying Wiley since then, I am writing more.
Initially, Shane Fair got this response from someone on August 17:
Then later, Becca Wiley posted this:
She received plenty of supportive comments including one I made from the DMV Wrestling News account - specifically I said, “what a pig”.
One other comment was made that I found interesting:
The back-and-forth of this comment thread ended with this comment from Edwards Ray Dan:
This is him saying he’s not justifying the bad things that are said but then going on to try to justify them after his original butthurt comments when Wiley wouldn’t tell him the full details of everything that happened.
One jerk who Wiley handled well might have caused me to skip writing what you are reading right now. However, a personal attack on her because she has cerebral palsy from somebody who I could call an online “scumbag’ only if I was being nice in my characterization of him. That would be Kevin Scampoli.
Scampoli’s past behavior includes crudely trolling Kayla Braxton and also mocking Bray Wyatt' after his death and saying he wishes he could get the kids taken away from Jo Jo Offerman. I have not included his exact words, you’ll have to look at the link for yourself. Braxton later nicknamed him “Scumpoli”.
Scampoli uses racial slurs and has called an African-American WWE wrestler a “slave”. He was charged with domestic violence with some reports that he is a convicted felon because of it. He is no longer on YouTube and is on the cesspool that is Rumble, but I’m not sure if that was his choice or not.
I’ve previously written extensively about sex pests and other trolls in pro wrestling. Here’s a sampling of the coverage:
