Vince Steele, an independent wrestler known as "The Jurassic Juggernaut," died Saturday at the age of 39 after suffering a medical emergency during a Brii Combination Wrestling event in New Jersey.
Steele was competing in a four-way match when he collapsed in the ring, according to event officials. Medical personnel responded immediately, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Steele began his wrestling career in 2004 and became a well-known figure on the independent wrestling circuit. He competed in multiple promotions, including Coastal Championship Wrestling, and was recognized for his agility and presence despite his 6-foot-5, 449-pound frame.
