On the March 26 episode of WWE Evolve, veteran referee Jessika Carr returned to in-ring action under a masked persona named Kalyx. Teaming with Haze Jameson, Kalyx faced Aria Bennett and Layla Diggs in a tag match. Bennett and Diggs won after Diggs hit a sit-out facebuster on Kalyx for the pinfall. After the match, Kalyx shoved her partner in frustration before leaving the ring.
Carr, a Baltimore native born Jessika Heiser, last wrestled in 2017 before transitioning to a referee role. She began her career in 2010 on the independent circuit as Jessie Kaye and Kennadi Brink, training under Duane Gill and later at the Team 3D Academy, led by WWE Hall of Famers The Dudley Boyz. She competed in Maryland Championship Wrestling, where she held the women’s title, as well as Eastern Wrestling Alliance and other regional promotions.
In 2017, Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee since the 1980s. She has officiated several historic matches, including the first women’s match in Saudi Arabia and the first Hell in a Cell bout and WWE Championship main event refereed by a woman.
In early 2025, WWE trademarked the name "Kalyx," confirming its use as Carr’s in-ring persona. The Evolve appearance marked her first match in over seven years and introduced a new chapter in her WWE career.
