WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, aka Windham Rotunda, unexpectedly passed away today at the age of 36. Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, posted on social media that he “received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda - also known as Bray Wyatt - unexpectedly passed earlier today.”
Wyatt had been out of action for months and at one point had reportedly been fighting a life-threatening illness. However, recent reports indicated that he was set to return to the ring at some point in the near future.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful posted some information on social media that he said the family wanted to clarify:
I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues. There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.
in addition to being the son of Mike Rotunda, Wyatt was the grandson of the late Blackjack Mulligan and the nephew of Barry Windham and Kendall Windham. He spent most of his WWE career wrestling as Bray Wyatt and part of the time as The Fiend. He also hosted Firefly Fun House.

Earlier this week both Ace Jacobs and WWE Hall of Famer Terry Fun passed away.
